Kyle Matthews is the Economic Development Manager for the Chippewas of Rama First Nation and the Managing Partner of Rama Office Interiors. His role has expanded to oversee multiple First Nation-owned enterprises, driving transformative change through collaboration. A University of Guelph graduate with an Honours degree in Business Administration, Kyle is dedicated to his community’s economic growth, guided by the 7 Grandfather Teachings.
He works closely with eight business managers, focusing on strategic planning and operational efficiency while mentoring them in financial oversight and staff training. Under his leadership, Rama businesses have secured over $1 million in non-repayable grants and established the Tim Hortons as a training hub for community members.
Kyle is passionate about economic sovereignty, professional development, and cultural initiatives, including the preservation of Anishinaabemowin. He believes that empowering individuals is key to the community’s prosperity, paving the way for a brighter future for all.
