Jesse James, a member of Peguis First Nation, serves as the Regional Outreach Manager for the First Nations Tax Commission (FNTC). In this role, Jesse connects with First Nations and organizations nationwide, fostering a deeper understanding of First Nation property taxation and promoting the programs and services offered by the FNTC.
With 25 years of experience working with multiple First Nation governments in British Columbia, Jesse brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. He’s skilled at collaborating with organizations and has experience in negotiations and service agreements. Jesse also possesses substantial project management skills, notably in the implementation of land management under the First Nations Land Management Act and property taxation under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act.
A valuable asset to his work, Jesse holds certifications in First Nations Tax Administration and Management from the Tulo Centre of Indigenous Economics and the University of British Columbia.
