Susanne is an Anishnawbe Kwe from Mattagami First Nation, Ontario and an Indigenous Relations Specialist at Hatch Ltd. and holds more than 30 years of experience working with and for Indigenous communities. She has participated on multidisciplinary teams that navigate complex issues and has provided expert strategic advice, guidance and support on issues related to Indigenous engagement and participation. Susanne delivers a distinct insight as a Two-Eyed Seeing person – seeing from one eye with the strengths of Indigenous ways of knowing and from the other eye with the strengths of Western ways of knowing. She uses this approach to address the social, environmental and economic considerations required for successful project solutions and outcomes reflective of both worldviews.
